Why Support CVIM?

For the working uninsured who need and deserve healthcare, but can’t afford it, CVIM provides access to comprehensive, high-quality medical and dental care at no cost to those who qualify. Unlike government funded clinics, CVIM is funded 100% by philanthropy, and staffed largely by credentialed volunteers. Our work is made possible thanks to generous, compassionate donors.  Every precious gift is carefully stewarded and appreciated.

Philanthropy, partnerships, and volunteerism are the foundations of our healthcare center. Your gift to CVIM will transform the lives of patients in need. Without CVIM, these patients will suffer, fall through the cracks, and face serious health issues due to lack of care. Your donation supports the most vulnerable among us and builds a healthier community for all of us.

Meet Jim

Jim, a 54-year-old Malvern, PA resident, recently wrote us letter to express his thanks. “This world is far from great, but I know it would be a heck of a lot worse if you guys were not around. Your team is always smiling, and they are extremely helpful. The nutrition people have been amazing for me in that they have helped me lose 35 pounds, but more importantly helped me change my overall eating habits that will last a lifetime. The nurses at CVIM treat everybody the same and all they want is for everybody to get better physically and mentally. All the doctors have been amazing to me.

They care about what is going on with me while I am there at CVIM but they also want to see me do well outside of CVIM. Dr. Mary’s knowledge of the medical side of things is one thing, but then you add in how much she cares about all the patients that use CVIM and all the staff that volunteer their time and that just blows me away. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Meet Ro

Ro is a first-generation Italian American who served in both WWII and the Korean War, starting at the age of 18. He is now 90 years old and is in wonderful health. He came to CVIM for a dental check-up on our annual Give Veterans a Smile Day, as the VA does not provide oral healthcare to most veterans.  Ro shared stories of his time in the service including serving in the Pacific during WWII, when he was stationed on the island of Tinian along with the Enola Gay aircraft. We look forward to Ro’s return for his next dental appointment!

Meet Sinforosa

Sinforosa was diagnosed with diabetes in 2012, was put on insulin and occasionally received treatment and support from a community church clinic that treats many Hispanic area residents. However, she did not feel that the clinic was welcoming, and at times felt that it was a racist or critical environment. Sinforosa was referred to CVIM by a family member and became a patient in 2018. Within the year, she no longer required insulin to manage her diabetes. She says “CVIM has helped me so much, and now I feel better in every way of life. I thank God for bringing me here, and I don’t have true words to describe the way I feel.”

Strong Financial Stewardship

CVIM maintains a strong financial health as an organization. The FY23 Audit performed by Friedman LLP, rendered a clean, unmodified opinion and showcases the organization’s healthy financial position. The Annual 990 Filing required by the IRS is completed annually.

CVIM is proud to earn the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, a Charity Navigator Four-Star Rating and a 2023 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. These distinctions indicate that we fulfill our mission while adhering to the highest standards of program effectiveness and financial stewardship.
