The Stars of CVIM – Volunteers
Histoires de bénévoles
Volunteers are the stars of our team here at CVIM, and truly where the community comes together. With over 400 volunteers donating thousands of hours of service each year, they make the magic happen. We are neighbors helping neighbors, and our team of credentialed, licensed, and skilled professionals volunteer their time to deliver compassionate medical, dental, and medication treatment to low-income residents in our community.

Fred and Reggie Witzeling

A true volunteer team, Fred and Reggie have been volunteering at CVIM together for many years. Fred helps with inventory control in the dispensary, stocking products, and weekly reporting. Reggie is a support volunteer working on the Patient Assistance Program team, helping patients access medication at no cost. Fred says “Our roles are small but important. I feel like I’m making a real contribution to the dispensary. Our patients need us so that they don’t have to go to the Emergency Room for routine care.”
Graeme Hudson, DMD

Dr. Hudson is a volunteer dentist who has been at CVIM since its very early days in Frazer, PA. He says “I feel a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction after treating patients in need. It’s also a lot of fun, and I really enjoy it. There is such a profound need for care to be given to the underinsured and uninsured of Chester County. CVIM is a great facility and has an amazing staff in place. A small effort and commitment make a huge difference in so many lives.”

CVIM has been a wonderful part of my life for over 20 years! It’s been an enlightening experience to watch CVIM grow from a tiny clinic in Frazer to a thriving medical home in West Chester that has impacted the lives of so many deserving local people. I have had the pleasure of working with so many dedicated volunteers in my roles as nurse, Volunteer Committee Chairman, and board member. There are so many of these special people that I volunteer with that I am proud to call friends. We have great commitment and involvement from our donors and community partners. I am very grateful that CVIM has afforded me the opportunity to give back in such an influential way in our community, really making a difference in the lives of so many.
Ron Goodrich

Volunteering as an interpreter at CVIM for about 10 years, Ron acts as the voice of the patient to the doctor or nurse during an appointment. He says volunteering at CVIM makes him feel great! “The patients are really grateful, the atmosphere is excellent, we’re all just there for the patients, and everyone has fun.” He was introduced to CVIM through a volunteer physician and friend who noted that CVIM always needs volunteer interpreters.
