CVIM is fully funded by philanthropy. CVIM donors weave the healthcare safety net for our shared community. The individuals who make financial donations to support our mission make it possible for CVIM provide comprehensive healthcare to 5,000 patients in the Chester County Region who cannot afford health insurance.

Donors who make cumulative gift commitments of $25,000 or more are recognized as CVIM’s Circle of Healing. By having the compassion and conviction to give at this level, these charitable investors demonstrate strong and purposeful giving that inspires others to make good happen.

The Harrison Society
The Harrison Society proudly honors the legacy of Dr. Frank S. Harrison Jr., whose love of learning, dedication to excellent patient care, and philanthropic generosity forever impacted the patient lives he touched at CVIM. We acknowledge and thank our members of The Harrison Society for their generous annual support of $1,000 or more to CVIM.
Dr. Harrison began volunteering at CVIM in 2006 after a 38-year career as a cardiologist at Main Line Health. Following his motto to “live life with gusto and resolve,” he spent 10 years providing free healthcare to the most vulnerable among us in the Chester County region. He believed everyone had a basic right to quality medical care and treated each patient he served with compassion and dignity.

Vincent G. “Buck” Bell, Jr*
November 30, 1925 – April 25, 2010
Vincent G. Bell, Jr., or Buck as he was frequently called, was a business leader, entrepreneur, and amateur photographer who championed access to health care for the uninsured in Chester County. His love of fly fishing and his dedication to photography enhanced his travels throughout the world.
Gordon B. Hattersley, Jr.*
September 25, 1930 – April 30, 2002
Gordon B. Hatterlsey, Jr. brought forth a remarkable vison and passion for CVIM. Involved with the development of the organization’s main operations, Gordon met with the late Dr. Jack McConnell, founder of the Volunteers in Medicine America, to bring healthcare access to the region’s underinsured and uninsured. Gordon saw his life as a gift and felt the responsibility to give in return – his legacy lives on this very day.

Betty was a social entrepreneur and philanthropist who believed deeply in CVIM’s mission to serve Chester County families without health insurance. Beyond her devotion to CVIM, Betty was deeply involved in equestrian and farm life, traveling, her friends and family, and a number of nonprofit organizations in the Chester County community. CVIM is proud to be a part of her generous legacy.
