Community Volunteers in Medicine Partners with Penn Medicine
to Launch New Medical Microsite in West Grove

CVIM has launched a new medical “microsite” in West Grove, at the Penn Medicine Southern Chester County Outpatient facility, in space generously donated by Penn Medicine’s Chester County Hospital.
CVIM Honors Volunteers at Celebration; Kicks off Silver Anniversary Year

Volunteers, staff, members of the CVIM Board of Directors, and local community partners and dignitaries dined, socialized, and celebrated CVIM’s 25th anniversary during a Celebration of Volunteers event held at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern. In addition, Chester County Commissioners Josh Maxwell and Michele Kichline honored CVIM with a special commendation and helped us thank our volunteers for their contributions to the community.
21st Annual CVIM Golf Classic Held at Applebrook Golf Club

What a great day! Thank you to our 2022 sponsors, volunteers, and golfers for another successful CVIM Golf Classic that generated nearly $400,000 for CVIM’s health equity mission. Everyone gathered at Applebrook Golf Club to golf, socialize, and give back to our local community through CVIM. Philanthropy, partnerships, and volunteerism are the foundation of our Healthcare Center. CVIM Hosts President’s Council Spring Event

CVIM’s major donors were treated to a special evening at the Abbott’s Barn in West Chester. Sponsored by Skip and Kathy Withrow, attendees enjoyed cocktail hour complete with a spring floral activity and CVIM presentation. CVIM President’s Council members are a generous group of supporters who contribute at least $5,000 annually to advance CVIM’s mission. The Council includes more than 100 health equity champions. CVIM Mourns Passing of Beloved Medical Director, Dr. Mary Wirshup
February 10, 2022

Dr. Mary Brennan Wirshup, CVIM’s Medical Director from 2001 – 2021, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Dr. Mary was an extraordinarily compassionate physician who found and spread joy and hope through her “dream job” at CVIM, caring for uninsured and underserved patients.
