Collaborating Partners

CVIM maintains a philosophy of non-duplication of services. Patients are referred to a network of collaborating partners in Chester County, i.e. Human Services/Mental Health, Agency on Aging, Public Welfare, Children, Family and Youth Services, Domestic Violence, Food Banks, County Health Department, Chester County Branch of the PA Association for the Blind, etc.

CVIM works with each of the five hospitals and health systems in Chester County for patient referrals that need x-rays and diagnostic procedures, or hospitalizations. Patients are generally referred to the hospital in the area of their residence. Collaboration with all health and human services organizations is vital to our work.

Many medical and dental specialists in the community offer to see CVIM patients in their respective offices for either a reduced fee or pro bono. Additionally, CVIM receives medications from 40 different pharmaceutical companies. Please refer to our Annual Report to see a list of the collaborating physicians and pharmaceutical companies.

A whole community is needed to address the multiple needs of the working poor that struggle for basic survival.
