On-Site Services
CVIM performs basic needs assessments focusing on the whole person. Our health care professionals try to address the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of our patients and serve as a facilitator of access to community resources to meet specific needs. Interpreter training is necessary so the volunteers can assist our practitioners in translating appropriately during medical or dental visits.
On-site services include:
• Health education/health promotion classes
• Physical examinations
• Primary medical care
• Dental care
• Pediatric care
• Social services support
• Nutritional counseling
• Foot and eye care
• Women’s health care
• Drug dispensing services
A Smoking Cessation Program is offered to our patients thanks to a State Tobacco Settlement Grant administered through the Chester County Health Department. CVIM has the most successful program in the county with 40 patients successfully completing the program. The volunteer model enables CVIM practitioners to provide much needed positive reinforcement. The patients are invested in the program to give something back to CVIM.
Employment, financial, and insurance advisement are often a part of our services. CVIM attempts to see that all eligible children are enrolled in either the Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) or Medical Assistance (MA). Patients are regularly counseled regarding the value of obtaining health insurance and health benefits as well as enrolling in Medicare Part A and B when eligible.Back to Top
