Companies of Caring

In January of 2002, CVIM launched “Companies of Caring” with the help of a number of corporate leaders. This program has expanded into many sectors of business and industry, and corporate CEOs have been leading the charge. Corporate giving to CVIM accounts for nearly 16% of all donations since it opened its doors 10 years ago.

General local businesses and corporations have given in excess of $1M to CVIM through Companies of Caring program over the past six years.

In FY2007 local companies donated numerous hours of volunteer time, as well as nearly $1M in in-kind gifts of products and services. This includes $767,000 worth of pharmaceuticals donated by pharmaceutical companies and physician offices.

CVIM remains grateful for this huge collaborative effort that is making a difference in the lives of the working poor.
