About Us

CVIM opened its doors and saw its first patients on May 18, 1998. This was made possible by the initial venture capital and leadership of trustees, and the auxiliary of the Paoli Hospital Foundation and other benefactors. It was founded to provide healthcare, hope and healing to those who otherwise have no access to medical care. Over 45,000 Chester County residents have no health insurance and are not covered by government programs. CVIM is entirely supported by philanthropy, receives no insurance reimbursement and is not a part of any government-funded program. Services are provided by health care professionals and others who volunteer their time and are supported through gifts made by individuals, foundations, corporations, churches, civic groups and the Chester County government.

CVIM is building a healthier and more productive community because it:

  • Serves as a health education resource center
  • Improves the health and welfare of citizens in our neighborhoods
  • Keeps people in the workforce
  • Minimizes expensive hospital emergency room care
