Collaborating Partners

CVIM maintains a philosophy of non-duplication of services that already exist in Chester County.  We work closely with a robust network of partners to provide the necessary care, services and programs to meet the needs of our patients.

—       Specialty physicians and dentists

—       Outpatient centers

—       Hospitals

—       School districts

—       Government agencies

—       Health and human service organizations

Patients are referred to local hospitals to receive lab tests and radiology procedures often at no charge or for a prearranged reduced fee.  Area physicians and dentists will treat CVIM patients in their offices under similar arrangements.  Should hospitalization become necessary, CVIM will work with the patient and provider to facilitate appropriate and cost effective care. In addition, our social worker facilitates Medical Assistance applications. The clinic’s drug dispensary receives donated non-narcotic prescription medicines from pharmaceutical companies. Typically these medicines are free of charge to our eligible patients.

CVIM is affiliated with numerous medical, dental and healthcare profession colleges and universities.  Students volunteering at the clinic under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals receive valuable on the job training and experience.  Our professionals strive to instill a spirit of volunteerism in each student so that they will continue to give back to their communities as their careers progress.

The unison efforts of an entire community—a private and public partnership—are necessary to adequately address the complex needs of uninsured hard working families who struggle for basic survival.
