On May 31st and June 1st, volunteers will treat 2,000 needy dental patients at the Liacouras Center at Temple University in Philadelphia.  The event, MOM-n-PA, is an annual two-day free dental clinic for underserved Pennsylvanians.  All services are provided free of charge by members of organized dentistry and assisted by a host of volunteers.  Join CVIM's team of volunteers in traveling to Philadelphia for this important community outreach effort.

On May 2nd, the Main Line Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of their 2013 Business Awards.  The awards are presented to nine individuals and businesses who have had a significant impact on the community and distinguished themselves as leaders in their areas.  CVIM is honored to receive the 2013 Business Award for Nonprofit of the Year.

CVIM is hiring a Social Services Coordinator.  The social worker will provide case management, supportive counseling and referral services to CVIM patients.  This position is part of our multi-disciplinary team.  The social worker will collaborate with our medical/dental team as well as our eligibility team.

On April 24, 2013 as part of National Volunteer Week, Pennsylvania State Senator Andy Dinniman visited Community Volunteers in Medicine to deliver citations of appreciation to the clinic's 250 clinical and support volunteers.  Senator Dinniman, who has been a strong supporter of CVIM for many years, praised all of the volunteers for the time, talent and compassion they have given to their neighbors in need for more than a decade.
