
CVIM provides free medical and dental services and prescription medicine for eligible uninsured, low–income adults and children in Chester County. A very generous community keeps CVIM running on 100% philanthropy! The need for our services is URGENT and INCREASING!

- Our model of care provides extensive supportive & educational services in conjunction with clinical care in order to affect positive, long-term changes in the health of our patients.
CVIM logs nearly 20,000 patient visits annually; caring for a multi-cultural, multi-lingual population from every zip code in the County. Patients voluntarily contribute approximately $50,000 annually.
A team of 250 volunteer licensed healthcare professionals and support volunteers care for their neighbors in need. CVIM employs a small core staff of full and part-time professionals to ensure continuity of care.
This past year, our volunteer healthcare professionals and support volunteers donated their talents and time during more than 30,000 volunteer hours.
CVIM has a network of over 150 community-based physicians who provide specialty care in their offices at a reduced fee. Local hospitals support our efforts by providing charity care.
Our dental professionals restore the mouths of 450 children in the clinic and screen an additional 550 children in community outreach programs annually.
A conservative estimate of the value of the care we provided last year is more than $3.2 million.
More than 17,000 prescriptions are dispensed annually. Through the patient assistance program, CVIM received medications equivalent to $1.4 million in 2011 from 30 pharmaceutical companies.
CVIM serves as a regional and national model that has been replicated in Allegheny, Bucks, Butler, Centre and Luzerne Counties. CVIM is one of 82 Volunteers in Medicine facilities in the United States.
In 2001, CVIM moved from its small facility in Frazer to its current location in West Chester which after an expansion project in 2009 now offers nearly 10,000SF, including 10 medical exam rooms, 6 dental operatories, and The Moran Family Conference Center for patient, staff and volunteer education.
